Established in 1980 Berkshire based SEBEV Search and Rescue is the oldest Lowland Search & Rescue & Civil Contingency support team in the United Kingdom.


SEBEV SAR (pronounced 'sea-bev') is a UK based Lowland Search and Rescue team based in Wokingham, Berkshire and provides support services to Thames Valley Police and the Emergency Planning departments of various local authorities in Berkshire. Our members are unpaid volunteers who come from all walks of life.

Our core service is to provide vulnerable missing person search and rescue resources to Thames Valley Police in Berkshire and these include foot searchers, search controllers and search managers and all associated equipment.

SEBEV SAR was one of the founder teams for Lowland Search and Rescue in the UK along with our sister team, Bucks SAR and is a member team of the Association of Lowland Search & Rescue (ALSAR) responsible for the Royal County of Berkshire.
